Position: Interim Payroll Manager, EMEA Reporting to Finance Director, EMEA Position Summary: The Interim Payroll Manager, EMEA will manage all aspect of payroll processing for c 190 employees across our office in UK and Europe (Belgium, France, German y, Holland, Spain, Italy). This includes managing all principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of payroll activities including processing, payroll reporting, and liaising with Finance and HR and internal and external audit. This is a temporary position with strong potential to transition into a permanent role, contingent upon performance and business needs. Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field or Associates Degree combined with equivalent experience or equivalent Proven experience with responsibilities for the full payroll cycle in UK and other European c ountries (Belgium preferred). Ability to tactfully communicate (oral/written and in person or on the phone) with internal and external ‘customers’ including third parties and fellow employees Organi s ed and detail- oriented Ability to work well under pressure and to prioriti s e multiple projects Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information is essential Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required Extensive knowledge of all facets of payroll processing including payroll laws and regulations Experience in Cintra and SD Worx payroll solution will be advantageous This position will be hybrid and required to be onsite at our Harrow, U.K. offices 3 days a week. Ensures data input into payroll systems is complete, accurate and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the taxability of transactions. Liaises with HR or Finance accordingly if discrepancies or policies that need to be updated. Prepares regular payroll reports and ad hoc reports of payroll data to support payroll processing and financial analysis Conduct regular internal audits to verify payroll accuracy, ensure compliance with policies, and identify potential discrepancies. Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. Working with Finance teams with necessary journal entries and supporting schedules for payroll-related items. Answers queries from government agencies including but not limited to unemployment earnings information etc. Maintains payroll records according to retention regulations and legal requirements. Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments, obtaining management approval as needed. Execute payroll special projects such as creation and/or streamlining of new department processes and procedures, implementation of new upgrades or best practices recommended Liaise with Financial Control team during external audits, provide accurate payroll data, and reconciliation and answer audit queries Prepare and update procedures to ensure that the department is in compliance with all internal and external control requirements.
