The Role:
In this role you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the way in which Royal Navy personnel are trained. As the Media Developer (Unity) in the Future Training Unit (FTU) you'll support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver learning that is blended, active and provides customer delight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accountable for all media tasks assigned to you with regards to training transformation. An advocate for the creation of media that is not only active and engaging, but also inclusive and learner centric.
* Supporting the Media team in the production of interactive, innovative and engaging media content, adhering to the Courseware and Media production process.
* The production of interactive media for Future Training Unit (FTU) and Royal Navy training courses in accordance with Courseware and Media production process utilising the Development Manual and FTU Style Guide.
* Create interactive media to be developed in Unity development tools.
* To produce interactive media in accordance with best practice in areas of Graphic Design, Multi-Media.
* Creation of media / animation sequences exploiting effective asset management and workflow. Visualising and planning of media along a timeline.
* Maintain and adhere to asset management of electronic files, admin systems and document management control.
* Responsible for building the interactive functionality for our e-learning courses.
* Building strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to positively contribute towards training transformation.
* Working collaboratively with customers and colleagues to create fit for purpose e-content and adhering to project deadlines.
* Responsible for the continuous professional development of yourself.
* Adhering to the Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
* Ensure compliance with MoD & Raytheon (Team Fisher) policies, regulations, and procedures.
* Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
* Employees are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
* Any other duties required to complete the Integrated Training Design Service.
* Occasional travel to other customer sites may be required.
Essential:
The Media Developer (Unity) will be able to:
* Demonstrate a passion for training transformation and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate an enthusiasm to learn, collaborate, communicate, demonstrate best practice within the business, customers and the wider team.
* Demonstrate attention to detail, a passion for quality, be able to plan, multitask, deliver on time and work independently.
* Demonstrate a background in Unity based interactive media design.
* Demonstrate previous experience of creating and developing media content with proficiency in the Unity development.
* Demonstrate excellent IT skills, able to use a range of in-house media platforms and design tools including C#.
* Demonstrate previous experience of the Unity Editor Tool including node shader graphs and visual effects.
* Demonstrate previous experience of in developing interactive training (e-learning, multimedia).
* Demonstrate previous experience of web design standards, responsive design and UI / UX design.
* Review technical and non-technical information and workflow process and apply this to visual media and animations.
Desirable:
Should have some experience of:
* Understanding of media design and development.
* Developing interactive training (e-learning, multimedia).
* Adobe CC Suite including Photoshop / Illustrator.
* Understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript / WebGL.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance processes.
* Understanding of the ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
