Description
* Implementing and managing HSE programs and policies
* Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures
* Establishing a culture of continuous improvement in HSE matters
* Training employees on health and safety procedures
* Carrying out internal/external audits and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
* Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims
* Collaborating with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
* Meet ISO(phone number removed) standards
* Preparing reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Profile
A successful HSE Officer should have:
* NEBOSH ideally
* Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
* Experience with writing reports and policies for health and safety
* Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
* Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
* Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
