What You’ll Be Doing: Providing day-to-day classroom support, both in group sessions and on a 1:1 basis, with a focus on emotional regulation and behaviour guidance. Creating a nurturing and inclusive space where pupils feel confident, supported, and encouraged to grow. Gaining hands-on experience working with pupils who have additional needs such as ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety-based conditions. Assisting in the application of positive behaviour support strategies that aid in personal and academic development. Developing meaningful relationships with learners, colleagues, and families to ensure a collaborative and consistent support network. Encouraging the development of emotional literacy, communication skills, and social confidence. What We’re Looking For: A genuine interest in supporting children with additional learning or behavioural needs. Someone who connects well with students and can build trust through patience and empathy. Positive, encouraging, and committed to helping learners succeed in their own way. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity. A real desire to build a long-term career working in SEND or alternative provision. Available to work Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Registered with the EWC (we’re happy to guide you through this process if you’re not registered yet).
