WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Supply Chain Planner will have a direct impact on our Operations group, responsible for:
1. Creating production schedules based on customer orders, availability of materials, and manufacturing capacity:
2. Making “firm” the planned orders in SAP within the current planning horizon based on the material availability status (SAP MDVP transaction).
3. Issuing the list of electronic component shortages to the electronic buyer that impact the planned orders within the current planning horizon.
4. Creating the build schedules to a 12 week planning horizon based on the planned orders that have been made “firm” (SAP MF50 transaction).
5. Review plans with Value Stream Leader/Manager to ensure efficient resource allocation and usage.
6. Closely collaborate with other assembly Supply Chain planners to ensure uninterrupted supply of internally manufactured materials.
7. Work with Value Stream Leader and Team Leader to overcome capacity concerns.
8. Effectively communicates changes in production plans requirements to internal customers.
9. Co-ordinate discussions between areas of the business to solve issues impacting the production schedule.
10. Escalate any critical supply issues to Buyers, particularly when there is risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands.
11. Ensure SAP accuracy of production schedule dates, Stock Transport Order (STO) dates and externally procured material delivery dates impacting Product Availability to allow Accurate Available to Promise (ATP) dates and Accurate Product Availability information to various areas of the business.
12. Update product availability dates in system so that this information is available to customer through SAP, ensuring concise communication to customer service representatives.
13. Execute on exception messages for production orders, making sure all stakeholders are informed of any changes and adhering to Customer Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
14. Supports Root Cause Analysis and implements sustaining corrective actions to improve On Time Delivery, Lead time and Past Due to our customers.
15. Liaise with customer service representatives to understand existing and future demands and manage forecasting via the SIOP process.
16. Support meetings supplying relevant data, provide updates on plans and highlight concerns relating to actual or potential issues.
17. Prepare and maintain statistics to share with internal stakeholders and provide information as required in relation to organizational metrics and updates.
18. Supports continuous improvement initiatives through Crane Business System within Supply Chain, by participating projects, JDI’s and Kaizen events.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and Requirements:
19. GCSE Level A-C, IVQ Technician certificate, BTEC first certificate or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification
20. Knowledge and experience of using SAP or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
21. Excellent Excel skills and the ability to learn new software packages.
22. Knowledge of PCBA and Injection moulding manufacturing processes is desired but not essential.
23. Knowledge of production/manufacturing processes and lead times.
24. Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
25. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
