About the Role Global Edge are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our clients maintenance team and play a vital role in the site's transformation roadmap. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, delivering world-class maintenance while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities As a valued member of the routine and base maintenance team, you will: Collaborate with the First Line Supervisor to enhance your safety capacity using the Personal Safety Management System tools. Tackle a variety of mechanical maintenance challenges with resilience, ownership, and innovative solutions. Partner with the operations team to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. Provide input during planning phases and After Action Reviews to continuously improve processes. Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to prevent recurrence. About You To excel in this role, you will: Have completed an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in a Mechanical trade (an HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous). Possess experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry. Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate field conditions and recommend solutions. Be adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Show a passion for eliminating waste in maintenance processes and driving continuous improvement. Be proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with SAP experience being advantageous. Adapt effectively to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities, including the flexibility to work out of hours when required. What’s in it for You?
