Role overview
We are looking for a Head of People Integration to join us for a 12 month fixed term contract. The Head of People Integration is a senior, strategic role which is pivotal to our growth strategy and involves overseeing all aspects of the acquisition process from a people and culture perspective to successfully integrating new companies into our organisation.
This role will provide advice and guidance at all stages of the integration process and become senior business partner to newly acquired organisations to Ipsos UK&I.
What will I be doing?
The Head of People Integration reports to the HR & Employee Experience Director and will work closely with the Chief People Officer, UK &I and is a senior-level role responsible for managing the process of acquiring other companies from an HR perspective and ensuring the smooth integration into our organisation.
You will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the due diligence process from any people and culture perspective for any potential acquisition
2. Collaborating with legal, finance and other departments to ensure a smooth acquisition process dealing with all people aspects.
3. Managing TUPE transfers in relation to acquisitions, including advising on TUPE implications and being aware of all relevant legislation and processes.
4. Developing and implementing strategies for integrating acquired companies into the Ipsos UK & I environment and culture; understanding and harmonising different corporate values and practices to create a unified and cohesive working environment.
5. Working closely with the leaders of acquired companies to ensure a smooth transition, minimise disruption and maintaining morale.
6. Monitoring the performance and cultural adaptation of acquired companies, making adjustments as necessary to ensure success.
7. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, employment law changes and market conditions that could impact our acquisition strategy.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop others in HR to support the integration process.
9. Report on acquisition and integration progress to senior management and proactively manage issues and risks.
10. Create clear processes, building on the existing materials we have in relation to acquisitions, ensuring that we have all relevant documentation for all mergers stored in a central location.
11. Act as senior business partner to the new organisations until such a time they become fully integrated.
What do I need to bring with me?
12. Proven HR and acquisitions experience especially focused on culture and values integration.
13. A proven track record of successfully managing TUPE processes.
14. The ability to work with others involved in the acquisition process; ensuring seamless and proactive communication throughout and managing regular updates with other key personnel.
15. Making informed decisions based on thorough analysis and due diligence.
16. Excellent communication and engagement skills to interact effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
17. Ability to manage a varied portfolio with excellent team and time management.
18. A thorough understanding of the industry's dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape.
19. A strong understanding of M&A due diligence processes including an excellent understanding of the legal aspects of acquisitions, such as contracts and regulatory requirements.
20. Experience in strategic planning and execution, particularly in relation to business growth and expansion.
21. Excellent reporting and project management skills.
22. Willing to travel and to be flexible and agile in portfolio management .
