We are currently recruiting a Business Support Officer for ongoing work across Hull (HU3). We are hiring staff on a temporary to permanent basis, with a probation period of 12 weeks before moving across permanently.
We require:
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK (We do not offer sponsorship)
* Enhanced DBS that is on the update service (Desirable)
* Ability to provide 2 references (one from current or most recent employer)
* Full manual driving license and access to own vehicle
* Recruitment and administrative experience
* Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
* Knowledge or practical experience of supporting individuals with additional needs including mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and Autism (Desirable)
Your role:
* You will provide efficient support to services dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in our purpose-built extra care service in Hull. You will work closely alongside the Registered Manager and local senior team.
* As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing a variety of functions, including (but not limited to): supporting our recruitment and retention strategy, providing routine administrative support to our busy service, supporting with electronic rostering and invoicing, conducting themed audits within services, and leading on our social value and development plan.
* The role is varied and offers the ability to plan your own workload where appropriate. You may coordinate recruitment events and develop working systems one day and develop social groups and volunteers the next. You will have excellent communication skills and liaise directly with our student placement leads, supporting the setup of new student placements to promote inclusion, awareness, and development within the wider community.
* In terms of administration and electronic rostering, you will undertake a range of administrative tasks ensuring our services maintain excellent quality compliance, assist the management team in ensuring staff are deployed correctly on the electronic rostering system, and be involved in senior-level management meetings, including minute taking and preparing reports. You will also oversee a joint system between us and Hull City Council that is used to generate our invoicing, ensuring it is accurate, used appropriately by staff, and troubleshooting when required.
* In terms of the recruitment function, you will have an eye for detail vetting recruitment documentation, supporting the services by leading on recruitment including processing applications, sending out job packs to potential applicants, and screening potential applicant CVs. The role will require you to deal directly with candidates and respond to any recruitment-related queries professionally. Part of the role will involve coordinating and attending recruitment events, raising the profile of the organization through various initiatives, and promoting the positions we have available. You will also update and maintain the relevant recruitment records daily and support in the coordination of local interviews. It is essential that you deliver excellent customer service at all times.
* In terms of the quality function, you will support the local management team by conducting themed audits at services to ensure we maintain our excellent quality standards.
Hours:
37.5 hours per week including weekends, evenings, and public holidays according to the needs of the service.
Salary:
Up to £25,530 per annum pro rata depending on qualifications and experience.
