Country Manager, DACH Region

To support our international launch into the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), we are seeking a Country Manager. The successful candidate will own the launch strategy, focusing on driving customer acquisition and retention through effective performance channels as well as looking for opportunities to grow brand awareness in the market.
The role requires a deep understanding of local market nuances, consumer behavior, and a proven ability to execute D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) subscription strategies. The ideal candidate will be a native or fluent German speaker, with strong project management skills and experience scaling FMCG or D2C brands.
Responsibilities 💼
* Market Leadership: Act as the key person for Fussy in the DACH market, building relationships with external partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
* Launch Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and launch strategy tailored to the DACH region, ensuring alignment with Fussy’s brand identity and wider business objectives.
* Performance Marketing: Work with channels managers and agencies to plan, manage, and optimise performance marketing channels, particularly paid search, paid social, affiliate, and influencer to drive customer acquisition and retention.
* Project Management: Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure timely and effective marketing campaigns.
* Insight & Localisation: Use your knowledge of the local market to ensure all campaigns resonate with regional audiences, adapting messaging and tactics as needed.
* Budget Ownership: Develop and manage the marketing budget for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources with a particular focus on CAC and LTV.
* Brand Building: Establish and strengthen the Fussy brand presence in the region by identifying local PR, partnerships, and community-building opportunities.
* Data-Driven Optimisation: Track, analyse, and report on KPIs, providing actionable insights to optimise future activities.
* Subscription Strategy: Work cross-functionally to drive D2C subscription growth through customer retention strategies, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
Who you are 🤓
* Prior experience launching or scaling a brand in the DACH region.
* 5+ years of experience in marketing, country management, or a similar role, within FMCG, D2C, or subscription-based businesses.
* Proven experience planning and managing performance marketing campaigns and creatives across multiple channels (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, affiliates, etc.).
* Native or fluent German speaker with a deep understanding of consumer preferences and cultural nuances in the DACH region.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
* Data is your friend – you find it easy to use insights to back-up your instincts.
* You’ll be comfortable working as a one-person-band or playing your part in a team.
* Getting stuck into platforms and processes with a focus on automation and optimisation is important to you.
* You’re a professional plate juggler (though perhaps not literally!) – having multiple projects on-the-go is the kind of thing that gets you out of bed in the morning.

* Salary: £45,000-70,000 depending upon experience
* Days/Week: 5 days per week (2 days in the office) and flex time
* Probationary Period: 3 month
* Regular team socials, breakfasts & lunches
