Compliance and Procurement Officer - Rough Sleepers (Gr F/G)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance and Procurement Officer to join our team focused on addressing the needs of rough sleepers. This critical role will entail overseeing compliance with legal standards and procurement regulations, ensuring that our initiatives to support vulnerable populations are both effective and ethical. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local organizations, and community groups, to enhance our service delivery and procurement processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our partners adhere to the highest standards of compliance while facilitating procurement that aligns with our mission to support those experiencing homelessness. As part of a dynamic team, you will help to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement practices, develop policies that enhance compliance measures, and ensure that all operational activities are conducted in line with relevant legislation and best practices. Your work will contribute to creating sustainable solutions for rough sleepers, and you will act as an advocate for ethical procurement practices while fostering collaborative relationships within the community. Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and legal standards related to services for rough sleepers.
Develop and maintain procurement policies that align with organizational goals and comply with legislation.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and laws.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify procurement needs and opportunities for the rough sleeper programs.
Provide training and support to staff on compliance and procurement processes.
Monitor the performance of procurement contracts and address any compliance issues promptly.
Prepare reports and documentation related to procurement activities and compliance status for management review.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement and compliance management, preferably in the public or non-profit sectors.
Strong understanding of procurement laws and compliance regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement management software.
