Job Title:Operational Team Leader
Location: Southwest, covering Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and areas around Bristol, Gloucester, and Swindon.
Salary: £42,000 per annum.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 8:30am-5pm.
Contract Type: Permanent position.
Purpose of the Role:
The Operational Team Leader will oversee accommodation operations in the Southwest of England, managing a team of Housing Officers responsible for property maintenance, resident support, and related duties. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve team objectives. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* To manage a team of Housing Officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
* To maintain accurate records, including property files, maintenance schedules, and resident information.
* To collaborate with colleagues across departments to achieve team objectives and improve operational efficiency.
* To ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
* To develop and implement effective procedures for property maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
Requirements:
* Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as housing management or a related discipline.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within the housing sector.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
