Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience

Ornua is actively seeking an experienced trainer to join our Operational teams as we continue our growth trajectory. As our next Operations Trainer, you will play a key role in; providing hands-on training and support to ensure operators are competent and skilled in the delivery of standardised working practices to enable improved line performance, quality, consistency and accuracy across production.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Operations Trainer is responsible for leading on;
9. Monitoring the budget for internal and external training and ensure it delivers the required training requirements.
10. Assisting CI Lead in business projects and change initiatives to inspire action and drive operational excellence across operations.
11. Creating, maintaining, and updating relevant training documents for existing and new machinery and processes to ensure all information is current and accurate
12. Working with H&S to support development and delivery of safe systems of work procedures and one-to-one training to minimise individual and business risk in line with regulatory requirements.
13. Designing, coordinating and delivering operational training, including one-to-one support to deliver SOP, Food Safety and H&S requirements. Ensure staff have the knowledge and capability to be effective in their roles.
14. Coordinating, delivering and monitoring first day induction training, to ensure new starters receive an engaging, informative and aligned orientation to the business, their roles and regulatory requirements.
15. Working with managers, controllers and supervisors to identify skills/competence training needs, along with talent and potential, to establish a training/development schedule that will deliver aligned and timely skills development and longer-term development programmes.
16. Maintaining, updating and monitoring staff skills and competence records to ensure information is up to date, proactively identifying refresher training and skills gaps.
17. Acting as site contact for Operational Apprenticeship providers organisations, ensuring programmes are delivered and supported across the business, to maximise the individual and business benefits.
18. Sourcing external training to support to ensure competence, skills and development objectives are achieved in line with prescribed timescales, and within the budget forecast.
What You Bring To The Role:
19. Train the Trainer qualification preferable or experience training a team
20. Strong IT skills
21. Experience of assessing training needs, designing and delivering training
22. Good working knowledge of food production associated processes and capabilities
