This is an exciting opportunity for an ICT Security Lead to join Your Housing Group and lead on the design, delivery and implementation of YHGs ICT Cyber Security Programme as part of the ICT Security and Governance team. As part of this, the role will lend itself to those with an interest in further evolving the security landscape in place at YHG and ensuring we are protected against the next generation of threats. Alongside the current effective controls, this role will be perfect for someone with a passion for leading organisations into next-generation and upcoming security ideas and controls, including an upcoming full SASE solution, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, SIEM, introduction of AI functionality and further Cloud Migration. Ensuring YHG’s valuable data is protected during a time of overhaul and change is a high priority for the business, and leading this process through engagement with multiple stakeholders will be a key aspect to the role. We are looking for someone whose passion for cyber security shines, who can take risk-based decisions in an ever-changing environment. What will my working week look like? You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately twice a month. What will I be responsible for doing? First and foremost, you will be responsible for leading ICT Security projects with internal and external stakeholders, alongside managing the continued security practices in place. In an organisation that takes steer from new government initiatives, the projects you will be asked to work upon have direct influences on the direction of the business, the level of its cyber security capabilities, and protecting vulnerable members of society. Other duties within this role include: Responding to live security incidents, assisting with ELT/Board-level reporting, running cyber-security awareness programmes (including training and phishing simulations) and becoming the ‘go-to person’ for advice relating to cyber security for both the business and its’ tenants. Certified Information Systems Security Professional / CompTIA Security or other Security Qualification. Experienced in the management of stakeholders.
