Carer for a 60 Y/O female P/T @ £11.50/hr in Bristol - BS15
PART-TIME EVENING CARER REQUIRED FOR 60-YEAR-OLD FEMALE (MOSTLY BEDRIDDEN)
Seeking carer for a 60-year-old female with limited mobility. Carer must be tolerant of client smoking and comfortable with pets. Two hours to be agreed over 3-4 nights. Duties include personal care and light housework as well as occasional shopping and ensuring the client is comfortable.
Applicant MUST be flexible and reliable. Must also be available for possible holiday/sickness cover. Driver preferred but not essential.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Discussing client’s day and assisting with any admin/phone calls
2. Visiting local shops if necessary for medication/food and drink
3. Providing client with food and drink
4. Preparing a hot flask for evening/morning
5. Ensuring client’s environment is clean and tidy
6. Emptying bins and food waste
7. Assisting client with medication
8. Aiding client with nebuliser when required
9. Assisting client with wash and personal care
10. Ensuring bathroom and toilet are clean and tidy
11. Helping client to dress for bed
12. Remaking and tidying client’s bed
13. Ensuring any laundry is completed when necessary
14. Performing any other reasonable household duties
15. Ensuring client’s house is locked when leaving in order to keep client safe
£11.50 per hour.
Two hours daily Mon-Sun, up to five days a week but MINIMUM of 3-4. Available hours: 17:00 p.m. - 20:00 p.m.

It is critical that the carer is reliable and flexible as duties are essential for the client’s wellbeing.
Carer to be paid monthly directly into bank account at month’s end. Currently £11.50 p/h with pay rise imminent in accordance with the national wage increase (12.50 p/h from April 2025). This post must be declared.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Driver (preferred)
2. Experienced carer (preferred)
3. Good level of English and Maths (ESSENTIAL)
4. IT Skills (preferred)
5. Confident to deal with nurses/doctors
6. Good communication skills
7. Two references ESSENTIAL with at least one being from previous/current employer
8. DBS Check ESSENTIAL
