Salary: £17,306.30 per annum, plus £450 home working allowance per annum
Hours & Contract: 21 Hours per week - Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months
Location: Homebased with travel required to local communities in North and East London, Hertfordshire and Essex

This is an exciting opportunity to join the TACT London & The East Team as they launch a new and exciting initiative led by the Foster Carer Recruitment & Engagement Worker role. The Recruitment and Engagement Worker will have responsibility for building relationships with carers locally, establishing community hubs to provide peer support, training and development, and organising social and wellbeing events. Improvement of carer engagement and retention will be the main focus of the project, with the aim of improving the outcomes of the children and young people.

Overall Duties of the Foster Carer Recruitment & Engagement Worker will require the following:
* Experience of working with volunteers / community based organisations / youth work
* Excellent time management, organisation and event organising skills
* An understanding of effective marketing and recruitment practices
* Excellent relationship building and communication skills
* The ability to plan, progress and review tasks and projects over time
The Recruitment and Engagement Worker will be an exciting influential and impactful role, central to strengthening our service provision to new and existing carers, in collaboration with a range of stakeholders across the region.

The Foster Carer Recruitment and Retention Worker may be homebased within England, Scotland or Wales but will be required to travel to face-to-face meetings in the region at least once a month and on other occasions for training and team wellbeing events.
An Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
