We are looking for a Permanent full-time People Advisor to work within our established People Operations team at UHNM. If you have achieved the L5 Diploma in Human Resources Management and have demonstrable experience working in Human Resources, then our People Advisor role is for you.
This key role in the People Directorate provides comprehensive, compassionate, and professional HR support to clinical and non-clinical areas. You will be part of a great team improving the working lives of the people who deliver care to our patients.
Divisionally based within Woman's, Children's and Clinical Support Services, you will deliver advice and guidance in line with legislation, UHNM policies, and NHS terms and conditions on a wide range of issues, including sickness absence management, disciplinary, performance, and resolution.
Divisionally based People Advisors will coach managers through formal sickness, resolution, conduct, and capability processes. You will help clinical teams understand the people issues in their Divisions by producing reports using information from the Trust systems. You will work closely with the People Business Partner to have an understanding of people trends in the Division.
The successful candidate will be people-focused, analytical in mindset, and proactive in problem-solving. You will be able to manage your own workload, apply compassion, tact, and diplomacy to difficult situations, and know when to escalate issues outside your scope of practice. With good ICT skills, you will be able to use Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
People Advisors are autonomous operators with the ability to lead their own caseload.
