As a Pre-contract Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for quantification of all aspects of construction projects and the preparation of cost plan and bills for quantities documentation. We will support your time with us by further developing your business, behavioural and technical skills

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Understand, analyse and coordinate tender documentation
* Quantify all aspects of construction projects in line with industry standards
* Identify deficiencies, risks and conflicts within drawn and written documentation
* Understand common construction contracts and procurement routes
* Collaborate with project managers, architects and engineers to develop effective solutions
* Prepare carbon assessments for construction projects
* Conduct site visits to assess pre-contract risks and identify potential issues

* Construction Technology: Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
* Contracts: Be able to apply different types of contracts to different situations.
* Procurement: Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors for a construction project.
* Cost control: Assist in the measurement and costing of construction works during a project.
* Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, cash flow and cost forecasts for a construction project.
* Administration: Assist in the collection, collation and storage of relevant data and its analysis.

GCSE in:
