Dr Mahbub's Surgery at Brace Street Health Centre, Walsall is a small, well established and friendly GP practice serving a patient population of approximately 3,300. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate GP to join our supportive team.

- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a primary care setting.
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
- Manage a range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of the surgery.

About us
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to work 4 sessions per week over two days. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of primary care services to our mostly BAME patient population.

The post-holder will manage a caseload and dealwith a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring thehighest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Will report to the GP Partner (Clinically) and tothe Practice Manager (Administratively)
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities:-
In accordance with the Practice timetable, asagreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a varietyof duties including face to face surgery consultations, e-consult and videoconsultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home,checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork,reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Making professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whether self referred or referred from otherhealth care workers within the organisation.
Assessing the health care needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screening patients for disease risk factors andearly signs of illness.
In consultation with patients and in line withcurrent Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans forhealth.
Providing counselling and health education.
Admitting or discharging patients to and from thecaseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultationnotes to agreed standards.
Collecting data for audit purposes and complyingwith QOF requirements.
Delivering enhanced services.
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute andrepeat prescriptions
Prescribing in accordance with the Practiceprescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
In general the post-holder will be expected toundertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GPworking within primary care.
