About The Role Come Join Our Team We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Rockland St. Mary, Norfolk. Our client is a young man in his 20's who has complex needs, including Alfie's syndrome, autonomic dysreflexia, bowel care, peg feeding, catheter care, non-invasive ventilation, suctioning and requires medication. He is described by his care team as a joy to work with and an inspiration. He has a wide variety of interests from cartoons, gaming, TV/films, baking and getting out the house, to world politics. Most of all he loves football and is a Chelsea fan. Due to the clients support needs and preference the successful candidate will need to be female, have some experience working with complex needs and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship. Pay: £13.65 per hour weekdays & £14.18 per hour weekends. Hours: 24 per week over two days (Flexible on what days) Key Responsibilities: Sonderwell and our organisations offer a wide range of support and services to the people we care for, our range of home care services support children and adults who are living with complex health and social care needs and enable choice, specifically what's right for our clients, at the right time. Supporting, and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists. Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility. Administering medication and monitoring health conditions. Providing emotional support and companionship. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions. Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements: A genuine passion for working with people and providing care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Reliability, commitment, and flexibility. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care. To be able to deal with challenging behaviours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
