Job Description:
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for to join our Construction Team as a Project Manager. We are looking for a hardworking and ambitious individual to join our dynamic team managing construction projects for one of the most valuable and iconic brands in the world.
With the support and guidance of a Senior Project Manager you will have an instrumental role in helping the team to deliver reimage and refurbishment projects to our ever-growing estate of over 1,700 restaurants across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
What will my accountabilities be?
With the support and guidance of a Senior Project Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of reinvestment construction projects. You will undertake scoping and design review meetings with key stakeholders, notably franchised owner/operators and their teams, as well as external consultants and contractors.
What Team will I be a part of?
You will be a part of the Construction Department and more specifically the Reinvestment Team, which is responsible for undertaking refurbishment and improvement projects of existing leasehold and freehold properties on both company owned and franchised restaurants. The property portfolio consists of both modular and traditionally constructed drive-thru and high street restaurants. The Reinvestment Team has an extensive programme of works to refurbish and reimage everyone of our 1,700+ restaurants on a rolling 10 year programme.
Who are my customers?
Primarily you will be providing your services to the Franchised owner/operators, their management teams and crew as well as the Operations Teams for the company-owned restaurants that you will be working in. You will also need to consider the customer experience during the design process and ensure that they are put first in all decisions.
Qualifications:
What background do I need to have?
Ideally, you will have experience working client-side for a retail or QSR business, or as a project manager within a consultancy however more important than your background is what you bring to the role:
* Have a background in construction project management or commercial or retail fitout
* Experience of leading project teams to deliver high quality construction projects on time and to budget.
* Eager to learn with a proven record of managing multiple in-flight projects.
* Comfortable forming, leading and managing teams of consultants to deliver project scope.
* Skilled in managing multi-disciplinary professional teams.
* Commercially astute with the ability to quickly build and maintain excellent professional relationships.
* Capable of influencing key decision-makers.
* Empathetic to understand physical and operational problems within restaurants and help find innovative and imaginative solutions.
* Comfortable with hybrid working and traveling to sites to chair project progress meetings and design reviews.
