PPM Recruitment are recruiting for a Planning Assistant in the Grimsby area.
Duties:
1. Undertake the validation of planning applications, including checking plans, forms and fees.
2. Have the opportunity to assist in the processing of minor and other planning applications from submission to recommendation, including conducting site visits, liaising with customers and preparing accurate and concise reports.
3. Have the opportunity to respond to pre-application enquiries in a timely manner.
4. Support the team in achieving contract performance targets.
5. Provide excellent customer service to a wide variety of customers of the planning service.
6. Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be expected at this level in supporting the delivery of the planning function
Experience:
7. Previous experience of working in an office environment, with front line customer services experience.
8. Knowledge and understanding of office systems, routines and processes.
9. Knowledge and understanding of the required compliance with health and safety requirements.
10. Experience and ability to effectively use IT including databases and Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and TEAMs.
11. Knowledge of working in a planning environment is desirable
