Job Summary
We are seeking a Social Work Assistant (Grade 8) on a part-time, permanent contract within the Assessment, Care Management and Review Team based in Cunninghame House, Irvine. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in undertaking needs-led assessments, devising interventions while responding to and managing risk. An understanding of the current pressures experienced in the Health and Social Care sector is essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will require the successful candidate to work in a multi-disciplinary setting, consulting with service users and their representatives to ensure their needs and rights are promoted while practicing within policy and legislative frameworks. Experience of working with Older People and Adults with Physical Disabilities is desirable.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to confirmation of employment by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following the commencement of employment.
