Job Description
Our client, a well-respected law firm, is looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team in Buckinghamshire. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation including, Money Laundering Regulations 2017, SRA Standards and Regulations, Legal Ombudsman Scheme Rules, legal aid, Data Protection Act 2018, Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and the Lexcel Standard.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
1. Handle client complaints and liaise with the Legal Ombudsman or SRA where necessary
2. Achieve and maintain the Lexcel Standard
3. Support the MLRO and COFA
4. Risk management policies, procedures and internal audits
5. Deal with conflicts
6. Support the firm’s HR function
7. Deliver firm wide training
8. Professional Indemnity Insurance
9. Oversee the CDD process
10. Renew practicing certificates and other accreditations
The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can support the needs of colleagues, with exceptional organisational skills who can work under pressure and manage changing priorities. Strong drafting skills, attention to detail and IT skills are essential for this role.
