Job Title: Deputy Headteacher (Alternative Provision)

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join a specialized school serving 40 students ages 8 to 16. This permanent, full-time position offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic and passionate leader to make a significant impact in the lives of students who require tailored educational approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide inspirational leadership and support to staff, fostering a professional environment conducive to teamwork and high performance.
2. Develop and maintain a positive school culture where all members of the school community feel valued and equipped to contribute to school success.
3. Implement effective strategies to engage and motivate pupils, ensuring all individuals make progress and feel supported in their well-being.
4. Set and uphold high expectations for both students and staff to promote excellence in teaching and learning.
5. Act as a key contributor to the school's relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and execute the strategic development plan with precision and creativity.
6. Ensure the safeguarding of all students, promoting their well-being, and operate within the framework of the school's safeguarding policies at all times.
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' educational and personal development.
8. Make evidence-based decisions about teaching and learning that will drive forward academic success for all pupils.
Requirements:
1. A dynamic and strategic educational practitioner with a proven track record in leadership, ideally within an alternative provision setting or similar environment.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and further professional development in education leadership/management.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence, build rapport and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
4. Commitment to collaborative work and a demonstrated ability to lead a team successfully.
5. Robust understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogical best practices tailored to diverse learning needs.
6. An unwavering commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
Working Conditions and Benefits:
1. Full-time position with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
2. A competitive salary ranging from £39,300 to £45,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
