Main duties of the job
* Leadership & Supervision: Actively seek learning opportunities for yourself and others, providing support and assessment to junior team members and students. In the absence of senior staff, you will oversee the Recovery unit, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Patient Care: You will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate care using the ABC approach for both adult and paediatric patients within recovery.
* Post-Operative Expertise: Monitor physiological parameters, respond to changing patient needs, and ensure the safe administration of intravenous drugs. Your ability to react swiftly to sudden changes in patient condition will be critical.
* Professional Growth & Compliance: Take ownership of your personal development, mentor new staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will also comply with all Health and Safety regulations, contributing to a safe environment for patients and staff.
