Role Summary
Solutions4Health is an innovative company with a passion and a track record for tackling health inequalities. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Stop Smoking Advisor who will motivate and support our clients in achieving their goal to stop smoking.
As a Stop Smoking Advisor you will deliver a client-led smoking cessation treatment plan via one to one, drop in or group sessions depending on the needs of the client, and monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness.
This service will meet the needs of local communities and reduce health and social inequalities.
This role is home-based with travel to clinics across Enfield in varied community settings.
Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Must be able to explain to clients the principles of Stop Smoking Services so that they can make an informed choice to stop smoking.
* Will motivate and empower clients to make behaviour changes.
* Devise and deliver a client-led treatment plan in accordance with national and local guidelines, effectively and professionally dealing with the quit attempt until it is resolved. This will include CO monitoring, the completion of accurate data to comply with NICE guidance, and a comprehensive account of weekly interventions.
* Must be able to plan and organise workload, this will include the management of a caseload.
* Deliver one to one, drop in or group sessions, which will have emphasis on supporting clients from local communities and provide phone support.
* Provide a high quality, efficient service throughout a diverse range of community settings.
* Manage conflict effectively either in a group setting or with individual clients.
* Monitor outcomes of treatment programmes set for individual clients for their effectiveness and update manager appropriately.
* The advisor may potentially be required to work with complex health needs in relation to behaviour change.
* In partnership with the line manager develop new service initiatives, based on periodic impact needs assessments.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
* Ensure a commitment to own personal development by keeping up to date with research and best practice.
* Attend team meetings and should have a driving licence and be willing to drive to clinics.
* To actively participate in promotional events.
* Carry out any other duties that relate to this post.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* A certified NCSCT Smoking Cessation Practitioner is desirable.
* Driving License
Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of behaviour change models
* An understanding of the problems experienced by socially disadvantaged sectors of the community.
* A strong understanding of the impact of smoking on health is essential
* Knowledge of a specialist field in community health acquired through relevant experience or further education background
* Knowledge of sales and marketing is desirable
Experience
* IT skills and experience with data inputting essential.
* While training will be provided, this role will require the successful candidate to undertake considerable online learning.
Other
* The ability to travel and transport equipment between clinics across Southern Hampshire
* Work one evening a week and occasional Saturdays
