On behalf of our valued client, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Hednesford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a safety-conscious professional to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, drive best practices, and create a safe working environment across all our sites. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSW), Policies, and other H&S documentation are kept up to date and reflect current best practices. Produce Site Safety Files with specific SSW. Maintain a skills matrix and plan re-qualification for employees. Manage the issuance and recording of PPE. Conduct new staff and site employee inductions. Perform regular site audits to ensure compliance. Investigate accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions. Coordinate Quarterly Safety Meetings to discuss and improve H&S practices. Required Skills and Competencies: IOSH or similar qualification is essential. Strong understanding of Employment Law in relation to H&S. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Practical experience using Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint. Performance Expectations: Ensure all risk assessments, policies, and SSW documents are compliant with legal requirements and best practices, in collaboration with external safety advisors. Maintain master documents on SharePoint. Prepare and manage Site Safety Files. Conduct bi-weekly audits of all civil sites and random audits for drainage jobs. Ensure F10 documentation is applied for and kept current where necessary. Retrieve and store site safety files upon contract completion. Maintain all safety-related equipment as per manufacturer instructions, keeping test records up to date. Oversee CHAS, Constructionline, and other certifying body certifications, ensuring timely renewals. Ensure all PPE is issued and accepted by employees.
