Job Title: Head of IT (Contract) Location: London – Hybrid 2 days on site Contract Duration: 6-12 months (Maternity Cover) Start Date: December 2024 Rate: Up to £500 per day (Outside IR35) We have partnered with an impressive MSP, based in London, who are after a Head of IT, to assist with the managing of a team of 6, alongside being hands on. Role Overview My client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Head of IT to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing infrastructure, standards, and managing a team of 6. Key Responsibilities: Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives, driving efficiency and innovation across the organization. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and high performance. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security to support business operations. Technology Deployment: Evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions that enhance business performance and customer experience. Risk Management: Ensure robust cybersecurity measures, data protection policies, and compliance with regulatory standards. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to identify technology needs and deliver tailored solutions. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service-level agreements are met. IT Operations Oversight: Monitor IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring optimal performance and quick resolution of any issues. The head of it will be working alongside the Director of IT. Key Requirements: Windows MacOSx Active Directory Microsoft 365 SQL Azure VMware HyperV Google Cloud Office 365 & Sharepoint. 1st /2nd /3rd Line experience Previous experience in the role of the Head of IT Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. Certifications: Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are advantageous.
