We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Employment Law Team. Adobe operates in 22 countries across the region and is growing rapidly. This role will principally be responsible for providing employment law support and advice across our Northern EMEA region. This includes the UK, Ireland, S Africa, Israel and the Middle East. The role also offers the opportunity to engage in and drive pan-EMEA and global initiatives in a dynamic, innovative and fast-paced tech environment. This position reports to the Senior Director, EMEA Employment Law. What you’ll do: Be a passionate, pro-active and enthusiastic member of Adobe’s Global Employment Legal Team. Partner closely and collaboratively with colleagues in cross functional teams across a wide variety of organisations to drive business focused solutions in national, regional and global initiatives. Demonstrate leadership and innovative thinking which embodies the Adobe values: Create the Future, Own the Outcome, Raise the Bar & Be Genuine. Provide pragmatic, strategic employment law support on all HR aspects of business initiatives and operations. This will include for example, advice relating to HR legal compliance, complex employee relations matters, disciplinary and compliance investigations, hiring and terminations, D&I initiatives, HR privacy and data protection issues, M&A and post-acquisition integrations, scaling initiatives, and a truly diverse range of “day-to-day” HR matters. Lead and develop relationships with Outside Counsel across the region. Support employment litigation. What you’ll need to succeed: A UK qualified lawyer with significant specialist employment law experience at a quality law firm and/or in-house employment counsel role at a multi-national company. Strong leadership attributes, with a proven track-record of constructive partnership with colleagues and business leaders, and of pro-active participation in cross-functional teams. Judgment, a pragmatic and commercial approach to legal advice and being comfortable taking risk-based decisions. The ability to operate with relative autonomy on a day-to-day basis. Comfort in engaging with and, where necessary, constructively challenging, senior leaders. Effective prioritisation and delegation skills. Being comfortable outside of your comfort zone, and a willingness to jump into new challenges. 3 days a week in our London or Reading offices, with some international travel required.
