What the job is about: Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers is a multi-disciplinary role, which has the following responsibilities: Specialist Lead for one or more service streams; Line management of a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches; and Direct delivery of health & wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions. Desirable skills and experience: Degree or equivalent qualification in a health related subject (e.g. health improvement, promotion, public health, nutrition etc); and/or A directly relevant qualification to the service stream specialism. For example; Adult Weight Management / Intensive Support / Healthy Eating & Drinking – REPS Level 3 or Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent); Physical Activity – REPS Level 3 qualification or equivalent (Level 4 qualifications may be required for certain services); Smoking Cessation – NCSCT Certificates in Smoking Cessation Practitioner including the following areas smoking cessation; mental health, pregnancy and post-partum period, VBW and second-hand smoke. Desirable Attributes: Professional qualification & registration with professional body relevant to service stream. For example for Adult Weight Management this would be: Either a Degree in dietetics; or A Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in dietetics); and Registration with BDA or equivalent. Experience of managing teams within a customer focussed, target orientated environment. Experience of delivering group based services/programmes. Level 3 Training qualification (e.g. PTTLs/Award in Education & Training).
