Cover Supervisor Middlesbrough £85- £100 a day, depending on experience Start Date: April 2025 We are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team and help ensure the continuity of education when teachers are absent. Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school by supervising students in the absence of their usual class teacher. You will ensure that students remain on task with their set work, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support where necessary. The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, and committed to maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support students in the absence of their class teacher. Ensure students remain engaged with set work and complete tasks to the best of their ability. Manage classroom behaviour and address any issues that arise in line with school policies. Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during the lesson. Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety. Support students with additional needs, where applicable, to ensure an inclusive learning environment. Person Specification: Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting (but not essential). Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
