Job summary CPFT has an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Pharmacy Team as a Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Digital Medicines Optimisation and EPMA. CPFT has recently implemented CareFlow Medicines Management (CMM) EPMA on its inpatient wards and plans to implement the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) into its community teams andCareFlow Medicines Management Pharmacy Stock Control. The post holder will work with the Lead Pharmacist - Digital Medicines Optimisation and EPMA, and other CPFT staff in Clinical Systems and Business Technology providing specialist technical pharmacy advice and support for clinical system. They will work to maintain and develop clinical aspects of systems configuration, develop guidelines and procedures, and train system users. They will also support future systems implementations and support the maintenance and development of these systems after implementation. The post holder will need to be well organised, comfortable with taking responsibility for independent decision making in their field of expertise, and adaptable to the varying requirements of the role at different times. Main duties of the job Support the safe and effective operation of the EPMA System within CPFT. Support the Lead Pharmacist in resolving of professional and medicines management issues arising in day-to-day use of the EPMA system. Alongside members of Clinical Systems Team provide training to users of the EPMA and other medicines management systems. Provide specialist pharmacy technical input into the EPMA and other medicines management systems across CPFT. Contributing towards both operational and strategic development. Use specialist pharmacy technical experience and knowledge to contribute to the design of new ways of working with electronic systems and processes to ensure maximum levels of safety and quality. Ensure the EPMA and other medicines management system are continuously optimised in line with new clinical and digital guidance. Promote new ways of working and to report any pharmacy technical risks and issues that could be generated by the transition from the current to the future state; working closely with staff from other CPFT teams Development and maintain procedures and protocols for the service.
