About the role:
This role is a great opportunity for a senior marketing manager with a strong CRM background to join a business in the training sector. We are looking for a commercially focused individual who can work autonomously, enjoys variety, and executing at pace. Our vision is to be the number 1 competency and training organisation across regulatory and compliance driven sectors protecting people and developing people and organisations across a variety of diverse sectors ranging from drivers and road users through to construction. We are expanding at pace and there is the opportunity to lead and influence a broad range of projects from brand evolution through to CRM.
This is a hands-on executional marketing role which requires all-round generalist marketing skills but with a strong digital background. The focus of the role is delivering lead-gen and cross-sell marketing activity underpinned via a CRM strategy that utilises website, email, and social activity deploying content-led marketing activity.
This role will be responsible for evolving our CRM strategy and owning all touch points from acquisition, maximising customer lifetime value, as well as overseeing our roster of Paid, SEO, Social, and PR agencies to deliver a fully integrated marketing plan.
This position will be instrumental in influencing and leading content creation (ranging from case studies and thought leadership to research) that can be served across all channels and used to support our sales teams with data-led account-based marketing activity. This role will suit a marketer who doesn’t want to be pigeonholed and relishes the opportunity to come up with new ideas and explore innovative ways to reach and excite our customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Marketing Director to implement the annual marketing plan.
2. Work closely with the marketing team, sales, and other departments to align CRM initiatives with broader business goals.
3. Communicate CRM strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels.
4. Implement a full-stack marketing approach from acquisition to maximising customer value throughout the lifecycle.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
6. Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including planning, creative development, deployment, and analysis.
7. Deliver best practice marketing email campaigns from creating content, templates, and mailing lists through to sending and tracking engagement and incremental spend.
8. Manage the content strategy working alongside sales, training, product, and PR and Social agencies to create engaging content delivered across comms including video, blogs, white papers, and events.
9. Assist agencies with delivering our social media plan across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., inputting new ideas, product recommendations, and stories to grow followers, likes, and reshares.
10. Support the Police and Commercial Team with sales and marketing requirements including event support, social media requirements, ad hoc design requests, and sales presentations.
11. Manage and update the company websites including creating optimised landing pages to support marketing and product campaigns.
12. Oversee the image library, marketing plans, trade advertising, and marketing activity ensuring these remain up to date.
Core Competencies / Skills
1. A B2B or B2B2C background with 5+ years’ experience.
2. Hands-on experience ideally with Hubspot which we are in the process of rolling out across the business, alternatively other platforms including Pardot, Salesforce, or Dynamics.
3. Highly motivated with a start-up mentality, resourceful and tenacious with excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Experience managing external agencies.
5. A proven background in campaign management including best practice within email marketing automation.
6. Highly numerical with excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail.
7. Experience creating landing pages and updating website content (WordPress).
8. Creative with an eye for design, experience using InDesign and editing video tools preferred but not essential.
