Folkestone Academy is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maths Lead Practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking Secondary School. As part of our dedicated Mathematics team, you will play a key role in driving the department forward, raising standards of teaching and learning, and supporting the professional development of colleagues using our Maths Mastery Curriculum. You will also become a member of the Turner School of Maths training team helping to create expert teachers of the future., + Lead on the development of high-quality teaching and learning across the Maths department.
+ Support and mentor colleagues in improving their classroom practice.
+ Contribute to curriculum development and the implementation of innovative teaching strategies using Maths Mastery.
+ Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure outstanding outcomes.
+ Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support whole-school improvement initiatives.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher with:
+ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
+ Proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students.
+ Experience in leading or mentoring teachers, with a commitment to professional development.
+ A passion for innovative teaching methods and a desire to share best practices.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
+ A clear vision for raising standards of teaching and learning in Maths.
