We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to contribute to building a healthier nation at our. The role involves delivering Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes using our unique pathway, supporting our Charitable Purpose. This includes remote (digital) and in-person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting to aid participants' recovery. The programme features weekly 1-to-1 sessions, group exercise classes (virtual and in-person), and promotes goal setting and self-directed activity.
You will demonstrate leadership, influencing skills, excellent communication, organization, and self-motivation. Collaboration with onsite teams, central staff, our charity team, and beneficiaries is essential. You should have strong IT skills and hold a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will:
1. Run a series of 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
2. Facilitate and deliver live stream and in-person group exercise classes for participants of varying abilities.
3. Promote self-directed activity through pre-recorded classes and journals to help participants manage their condition post-programme.
4. Adjust exercises and intensities based on participants' progress and effort.
5. Monitor for any deterioration and follow escalation processes as needed.
6. Deliver diverse exercise modalities, including circuit and strength training, within participants' physical capabilities.
7. Work flexibly and organize multiple cohorts and referrals efficiently.
8. Conduct weekly 1-to-1 calls to coach participants on goal setting, restrictions, progress, emotional wellbeing, and empowerment.
9. Accurately capture outcome data to support our Charitable Purpose and monitor progress.
10. Respond to programme needs to ensure successful delivery of each cohort.
11. Possess experience and understanding of rehabilitation (desired but not essential).
