Position: Sole Legal Counsel - In-House Commercial Property Solicitor Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Greater London, Kent (predominately office based with some scope for home working) Salary Guide: £65,000 - £100,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Role As Sole Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the business, with a strong focus on Commercial Property, landlord & tenant including commercial leases and broader property-related legal matters. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring compliance and managing risk while providing strategic legal advice for the business. Responsibilities include: Commercial Property: landlord & tenant including commercial leases and licenses, rent reviews, lease renewals, dilapidations, acquisitions, and sales. Additional : Property, Litigation & Compliance: Residential ASTs, debtor legal management, section 8 & 21, managing dilapidation claims, service charge disputes, planning permissions, and compliance with new property legislation. Finance & Contracts: Assisting with bank and insurance negotiations and documentation. Employment & HR Support: Providing legal advice on employment matters as required. Candidate specification: UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of four years PQE (up to senior level). Strong commercial property background, with experience handling landlord & tenant including commercial leases. Ideally some exposure of residential property, housing/property litigation and employment law (advantageous). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work independently and provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice. What's on Offer Salary: £65,000 - £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefits.
