Come and join us Role We are currently recruiting for a Depot Driver to join our team based at our depot in Bellshill. The main purpose of the role would be collecting and delivering vehicles, cleaning all vehicles and preparing prior to deliver it to our client and completing paperwork, check sheets and rental agreements. This is a varied role in a fast paced environment where every day is different and tasks are subject to change. There will be potential late finishes in order to get vehicles collected and delivered on time and overtime will be paid. Job Purpose Summary Ensuring that all rental vehicles leave in a clean and legally compliant condition. Are checked in and out in line with company requirements Collection and delivery of vehicles required for workshop activities Taking vehicles to and from places of repair Taking vehicles to and from locations for the purpose of MOT The successful candidate will be responsible for: SQI/ Cleanliness Ensure all vehicles are checked and cleaned to the Fraikin standard to present a professional image to our customers. Ensure the vehicles are cleaned and any defects are reported. As advised with the SQI checklist ensure that the vehicle is legally compliant Ensure all vehicles are SQI checked prior to delivery. Carry out daily yard checks Collection and Delivery To ensure vehicles are collected or delivered in line with the customers and Fraikins expectations to ensure high levels of customer service and customer retention. Ensure that all rental vehicles have a signed rental check sheet and rental agreement at collection and delivery. Working closely with the Rental Manager and Rental Controller to ensure best utilisation of time. Ensuring that the guidelines of the Highway Code, ministry of transport, DVSA and any other local conditions are followed. HSE To ensure health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to at all times and contributing to retention of LRQA and ISO standards. Assisting with internal audits and taking specific actions as instructed where non-conformances occur. Ensuring compliance for external audits from the relevant awarding body. Complying with all of Fraikin's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Ensuring the yard is free from obstructions and parking is controlled. Reporting all accidents and environmental incidents and taking action as appropriate. Build and develop relationships with customer base to ensure high levels of continued and new business. Act in a courteous and professional manner when collecting or delivering vehicles. Maintain a high level of personal appearance and where Company Uniform. Carry out vehicle familiarisation with customers where necessary. Resolve customer issues at a low level escalating where necessary. To be successful in this role you will need to be / have: Experienced commercial vehicle driver - Class license 1 essential. Confident working on various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor units & hooking up to trailers. Driver CPC current. Attention to detail for completion of rental paperwork. Ability to carry out vehicle walk-around checks & note any/potential defects.
