Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm Inch Cape is a 1080MW offshore wind farm situated 15km from the Angus coast in the North Sea. The power it generates will be transmitted 85 kilometres to a new substation at Cockenzie, in East Lothian from where it will enter the national transmission system. Inch Cape is a more than £3 billion infrastructure project that will make a significant contribution to the UK’s carbon emissions reduction targets. Once complete its 72 turbines will generate enough electricity to power almost half the homes in Scotland. Summary of Assignment: We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Inter Array Cable (IAC) Package Manager to lead and oversee the planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of inter-array cables for offshore wind projects. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless delivery of this critical package within budget, scope, and timeline while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. The overall principle is to ensure the safe and efficient management of all phases of the project from construction to hand over to Asset Management. Consequently, a high level of focus will be to ensure adequate means are implemented in contracts manage contractor performance through active engagement and establishment of suitable KPIs fostering innovative and novel concepts to ensure improved lean philosophy, health, safety a quality standards. Travels required: Mainly WFH with some travels to the Edinburgh office for meetings as and when required (around 3 days a month, normally within the same week and communicated in advanced) Main office: 40 Princess Street, EH22BY, Edinburgh Working hours : Flexible times - Monday to Friday - 7.5h a day (normally between 8am and 6pm) Responsibilities Project Management Oversee the full lifecycle of the Inter Array Cable package, from design to commissioning. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project objectives. Technical Oversight Manage the design, routing, and technical specifications of inter-array cables in collaboration with engineering teams. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and technical guidelines. Review and approve design documents, installation procedures, and quality plans. Procurement and Contract Management Lead the procurement process for inter-array cable manufacturing, installation, and ancillary services. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring clarity in terms, conditions, and deliverables. Monitor contractor performance and resolve disputes or issues as they arise. Installation and Commissioning Plan and oversee offshore installation campaigns, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and operational procedures. Monitor progress during offshore activities, addressing any technical or logistical challenges. Ensure successful commissioning of inter-array cables, coordinating with grid and electrical teams. Stakeholder Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for IAC-related matters, liaising with project teams, contractors, and regulators. Provide regular updates to senior management on package progress, risks, and mitigation measures. Collaborate with other package managers (e.g., foundation, turbine, export cable) to ensure seamless integration. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to reduce project risks. Collaboration Encourage and facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation incl. driving knowledge sharing with other projects ensuring best practise and lessons are implemented. Support project colleagues and support functions as required Take responsibility for own development Skills: Solution focussed approach to challenges and a solid business acumen Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills Strong negotiation and mediation skills Team builder Knowledge: Extensive experience managing large scale and complex projects from a relevant industry such as wind power, power generation, or similar Technical expertise in subsea cables, HV/MV electrical systems, and offshore installation techniques. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. Knowledge of relevant standards, such as IEC, DNV-GL, or ISO. Solid commercial understanding and business acumen Knowledge of MS Office systems Willingness to travel and spend time offshore as required. Valid offshore certifications (e.g., GWO, BOSIET) are a plus.
