We're solving complex technical, operational and regulatory challenges to make connectivity truly effortless. We've grown to a team of around 90 people across the US and Europe, bringing together an experienced team of early-stage engineers, product builders and business athletes from companies like Stripe, Airbnb and Shopify. The Position
The Product Design Lead will shape Gigs' visual identity and product experience at a critical growth stage. They will own building user experience that can go head to head with strongest design led companies in the world, reflecting our high aspirations, attention to detail and commitment to quality. They will guide our customers in building on this level and make sure to hold the work within the company to this standard, by establishing a comprehensive design system that unifies our product suite and external presence, while leading a talented product design team to create exceptional user experiences.
What you will do
* Lead the product design team, mentoring designers and establishing processes that drive excellence and innovation.
* Partner with product and engineering teams to create intuitive, elegant user experiences that make complex telecom services simple and accessible.
* Build and evolve Gigs' brand identity and visual language in close collaboration with our founders, establishing a distinctive presence in the market that reflects our ambition and quality standards.
* Develop and implement a cohesive design system that spans all Gigs products and external assets, ensuring consistency across our entire ecosystem.
* Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization, advocating for our customers' needs while balancing business objectives.
* Stay at the forefront of design trends and technologies, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to our products.
About you
* Design Leadership: Proven experience building and leading high-performing design teams, with the ability to mentor, inspire, and develop talent.
* Brand Builder: Experience developing distinctive brand identities and design systems for ambitious technology companies.
* Product Excellence: Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design work that balances aesthetics with usability and business impact.
* Systems Thinker: Ability to create scalable design systems that maintain consistency while allowing for product-specific adaptations.
* Collaborative: Skilled at working with founders, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate vision into reality.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
* Quality Obsessed: Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality in every aspect of design.
* Resilient: Start up / scale ups are a marathon and a sprint at the same time. Gigsters roll with the punches and rise to the next challenge.
* Opinionated: Good taste and opinionated about things. Able to communicate these opinions internally as well as externally.
