Job Title: Management Accountant Location: London Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join an international real estate consultancy, specializing in the luxury sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing the financial accounts for the company and its related client entities, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with project and operations teams to deliver insightful financial reporting and ensure effective financial management across the business. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Management Accounts: Timely and accurate preparation of management accounts for the company and related entities. Input supplier invoices and raise/issue sales invoices. Reconcile balance sheets and perform payroll/monthly wage postings. Complete bank account reconciliations and monitor income, cash flow, capex, and overheads. Provide commentary on financial performance and projected expenditure. Financial Reporting and Month-End Processes: Oversee financial month-end closing processes and procedures. Conduct variance analysis of costs and performance against budget/forecast, investigating any material discrepancies. Assist with designing and implementing improved financial processes and controls. Partnership with Project and Operations Teams: Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure effective financial management. Create insightful financial reports to meet internal and external reporting deadlines. Treasury Management: Review accounts payable and receivable balances for each company. Prepare supplier payments and liaise with suppliers. Compliance and VAT: Prepare and review quarterly VAT returns and other compliance reports. Conduct research on VAT/tax-related issues as required. Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory and statutory returns. Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed to support decision-making processes. Key Qualifications and Skills: Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified with relevant experience in management accounting. Previous experience in a similar role within real estate or related industries. Strong knowledge of financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end procedures. Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle complex financial data. Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
