Underwriting Assistant

About the Role
As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters with administrative tasks, data management, and compliance processes. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping, assisting with reporting, and liaising with brokers to maintain strong market relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurate entry of underwriting risk data into internal systems
* Scanning, organising, and maintaining underwriting documents
* Monitoring and correcting incomplete risks and data errors
* Supporting with bordereaux management and reporting
* Assisting in credit control and liaising with brokers for outstanding information
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and Lloyd’s requirements
* Supporting the team with general administrative tasks and meeting preparations
What We’re Looking For
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proactive and eager to learn, with a keen interest in the insurance market
* Ability to work effectively within a team and build relationships across the business
* Understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management (preferred but not essential)
