Role Overview
As the Head of Operations at Tecna UK, you will lead and oversee a team of 18-20 people across operations, including logistics, production, and installation. Your role is pivotal in:
* Managing Tecna’s operational performance
* Driving improvements in efficiency
* Implementing health and safety standards
* Enhancing client satisfaction by reducing project errors
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape Tecna’s operational strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Tecna UK transforms ideas into unforgettable display experiences, working with B2B clients and agencies to turn concepts into exhibition stands, conference sets, and experiential activations. Our team oversees projects from initial design through to installation, delivering high-quality, impactful experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, support, and develop a team of direct reports, including the Rental and Logistics Line Manager, Production Manager, and Install Technicians, along with regular management of subcontractors.
Operational Excellence: Oversee operational workflows, from facility management to on-site job completion, ensuring standards are upheld and processes followed consistently.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to reduce losses due to operational errors, improve delivery quality, and enhance pre-build efficiencies.
Health & Safety: Implement and monitor health and safety standards across all operational activities.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct team appraisals, manage 1-2-1 meetings, and regularly report on performance and progress.
Resource Management: Assess and recommend resource needs (e.g., staffing, tools, transport) to the senior leadership team.

* Consistently improve delivery quality and minimise on-site mistakes.
* Increase efficiency in the pre-build stage.
* Achieve and uphold health and safety standards across all teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Proven background in team leadership, ideally within event or exhibition management, or similar client-facing, operational delivery roles.
Education: IOSH qualification beneficial but not essential.
