MOPAC, the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Leader for Policing Excellence to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of policing and the criminal justice system, with extensive experience in complex policy areas, balancing priorities, and understanding operational and political risk.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping policing and crime policy in London, working closely with MOPAC Directors, the Chief Executive, and the Deputy Mayor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective strategies for policing excellence, including workforce and professional standards.
* Provide expert advice to the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime and the Chief Executive on culture, workforce, and professional standards.
* Lead the development and maintenance of robust procedures for discharging MOPAC's statutory responsibilities in respect of professional standards and complaints.
Requirements:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
* Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
