The Role
To assist with the delivery of the PE and the Premier League Primary Stars programme within Primary Schools across East Lancashire.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Assist Sports and Education Coaches on the delivery of PE and the Premier League Primary Stars programme within a cohort of schools, on behalf of BFCitC.
* Assist in planning prior to each session that is delivered, with considerations made for individuals’ needs and requirements.
* Deliver high-quality sessions to a wealth of participants with varying abilities, needs, and demands, in various environments, including:
o National Curriculum Physical Education
o Extra-Curricular Sessions
o Holiday Camps
o Whole School Assemblies
o Recreational Sport Sessions
o Educational sessions (Literacy, Numeracy, and PSHE workshops).
* Continuously evaluate the success/standards of own work and that of others through rigorous self and departmental reflection and analysis.
* Partake in monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure the progress/impact of any given provision is reported to key funders in a timely and effective manner, including the use of regular registers and the Views platform.
* Ensure that all stakeholders are kept safe and well before, during, and after the delivery of a given session.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to this role.
* Comply with all Charity policies.
* Work flexible and unsociable hours where the role requires.
* Ensure the service is delivered and managed in accordance with the Charity’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.
* Support other team members in other areas of the organisation as required to promote best practice.
* Commit to equality and diversity in the workplace and undertake all relevant equality and diversity training.
* Help staff develop confidence and competence by modeling good practice and acting as a mentor.
* Work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Level 1 coaching certificate in any chosen sport.
* Safeguarding certificate or willingness to undertake training.
* First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake training.
* Five GCSEs at grade C or above.
* Relevant training for working with children.
* Experience of working on sport-based projects.
* Experience of working in a school setting.
* Full driving license and the use of a vehicle.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
