We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, contributing to the firm’s financial integrity and decision-making Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests. Candidate Overview We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: Support the Financial Reporting & Control team with the month end close and reporting, to include accruals and prepayment journals for various offices and entities Assist in month-end reporting, including the preparation of insightful commentaries and trend analysis for the firm’s operational and capital expenditures Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation journals for the firm’s offices Assisting the team with month end balance sheet reconciliations, including debtors, creditors, interpractice accounts and other key balance sheet items Updating and maintaining procedural documentation to ensure compliance and consistency in financial processes Liaising with external and internal auditors to ensure all requests are dealt with promptly and accurately Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements, including supporting schedules and disclosures Assist with UK and international government statistical surveys, ensuring accurate and timely submissions Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and automation of report production to enhance efficiency and accuracy Other ad-hoc responsibilities as agreed between the Group Reporting Accountant, Group Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller Qualifications: Preferably AAT qualified or Part Qualified, or equivalent Study support would be considered Strong academic record What happens next?
