The purpose of the Brand and Content Manager is to shape and communicate Affinity Water’s brand image, messaging, and narrative to our customers, developing a consistent brand identity and strategy. Your creative approach will help shape our brand and drive awareness. You’ll use your content and editorial skills to inform and educate our customers and your organisational abilities to ensure we have a full calendar of activity.
You’ll be full of fresh ideas to shape the future of the brand – through innovative strategies and brand initiatives (or campaigns). You’ll ensure our brand identity is promoted, protected, and presented correctly.
You’ll drive the overall content plan and ensure content is planned, scheduled, and created within agreed timelines.

Principal accountabilities
As our Brand and Content Manager, you’ll be planning, scripting, creating, and managing content. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design, technical abilities to bring ideas to life, and copywriting skills to stand out, drive engagement, or influence behaviour change.
You’ll work to develop and execute our brand and content strategy. You’ll own our content calendar within the team but work with others, sharing responsibility for its updates, planning, and scheduling.
You’ll be accountable for our content production, working with our Campaigns team to ensure our agency partners follow our brand guidelines, guidance, and regulation.
You’ll also analyze the performance of the brand and content, reporting on results. You’ll be naturally customer-focused, keeping this at the heart of everything you do. You’ll adhere to all regulatory requirements and promote inclusive, by-design thinking and implementation across our brand and content.
Typically, you’ll be responsible for:
* Managing our brand assets, identity, tone of voice, messaging styles, and design guidelines, ensuring all content is on brand and regulatory compliant.
* Organizing and attending brand photoshoots.
* Developing content for publishing, including infographics, podcasts, videos, social content, webinars, and written content for marketing channels (webpages, blogs, emails, newsletters).
* Collaborating across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives.
* Creating engaging content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand voice, including copy, visuals, and calls to action.
* Setting the future strategy of the brand, its image, and identity.
* Understanding customer segments and personas, using insights to drive brand equity through content projects.
* Managing briefing processes for brand support or content asks internally, prioritizing, scheduling, and setting expectations.
* Mentoring and coaching your team, including a Brand & Content Executive and Digital Graphic Designer.
* Monitoring brand performance through KPIs, working with the Research & Insights team to measure awareness.
* Growing brand affiliations and partnerships, supporting at company events.
* Participating in the reactive crisis comms team on standby out of hours, working on a rota, due to the 24/7 nature of water supply services.
Experience required:
* +3 years of brand management experience.
* 3+ years’ experience in tone of voice, brand guidelines, and content calendar management.
* Good knowledge of video production and editing techniques.
* In-depth understanding and experience in developing and delivering brand strategies.
* Project management skills, managing priorities of multiple stakeholders.

* Salary: £38,000 - 42,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
* Hybrid role, with a minimum of two days a week in the office.
