Overallpurpose therole
Theprimary purpose of this role is to provide leadershipdirectionand oversight of Financial Crime Legal Orders related matters.This will involvethe role holder working with and acting as a point of contact withChief Security Office Group Financial Crime Operations Fraud andRisk functions Legal Transaction Monitoring and others providingadvice and guidance in relation to Financial Crime Legal Ordersrelated strategies policies andtraining.
RoleandResponsibilities
KeyAccountabilities:
* Collaboratewith risk owners and key stakeholders including Court Orders andPolice Liaison Unit Senior Management Money Laundering ReportingOfficers Legal Financial Crime Accountable Executives GlobalSurveillance Transaction Monitoring and Group Financial CrimeOperations on issues impacting Financial Crime risk appetite acrossthebank.
* Evolvethe Target Operating Model (TOM) and implementation plan forrollout ofFinancialCrime Legal Ordersoversightglobally.
* Activelyengage on strategic developments inFinancialCrime LegalOrderssuchasautomationinitiatives data and technology strategies or other innovations toprovide considered guidance on the risk implications of proposalsforFinancialCrime LegalOrders.
* Providethought leadership on strategic direction forFinancialCrime Legal Ordersinternallyand externally with government and law enforcementpartners.
* Manageand oversee the review ofFinancialCrime Legal Ordersprocessesagainst legal and regulatory expectations as well as industry bestpractice.
* Reviewand research identified sources of information and knowledge toassess current and future requirements for the Policies and ControlFramework including the impact of actual and potential legislativechange.
* Analyseand interpret management information and Financial Crime LegalOrders data to identify trends develop actionable insights for riskowners and key stakeholders and monitor the effectiveness of thecontrol framework taking appropriate action with Operational andBusiness Areas to address actual and developingissues.
* Leadthe identification design and implementation of any strategic andtactical activities necessary to ensure continuous improvement ofcomplianceperformance.
* Actas a subject matter expert for resolution of issues raised byBusinesses and specialist areas senior management and externalbodies.
* Leadthe resolution of issues/recommendations raised by the banksInternal Audit / Compliance Monitoring or as a result of audits byexternal bodies e.g. Financial ConductAuthority.
* Overseeand/or lead special reviews and respond to adhoc requests fromSenior Executives making appropriate recommendations andfacilitating implementation into thebusiness.
* Drivethrough collaboration with key internal partners the achievementand maintenance of the required quality in Financial Crime LegalOrders.
StakeholderManagement andLeadership
* Workwith external regulatory bodies such as NCA and FCA to researchanalyse and produce recommendations for changes and/or improvementsto relevant policies and Control Framework based on current anddeveloping issues/incidents.
* Actas principal point of contact for stakeholders in the UK andglobally on matter impacting Financial Crime LegalOrdersrisk.
* Leadas part of a high performing team fostering an inclusive culturewith a focus on developing talented individuals to facilitatecareer development in the Compliance function and across the widerorganisation.
Decisionmakingand ProblemSolving
* Leadengagement with key internal and external partners to resolvecomplex matters pertaining toFinancialCrime LegalOrders.
* Proactivelyidentify and lead the enhancement of areas within currentprocedures and controls to ensure Financial Crime compliance withregulatory obligations andexpectations.
* Analaysestrategic opportunities and risk appetite decisions relating toFinancial Crime Legal Orders and advise risk owners on theimplications of those decisions oropportunities.
Riskand ControlObjective
* Ensurethat all activities and duties are carried out in full compliancewith regulatory requirements Enterprise Wide Risk ManagementFramework and the banks internal Policies and PolicyStandards.
Experience& SkillsRequired
* Significantexperience in regulatory compliance and riskmanagement.
* Generalknowledge of the banks products markets and deliverychannels.
* Robustunderstanding of risk management and its value to theorganisation.
* Deeptechnical expertise on issues impacting the UK regulatoryenvironment/policies/legal framework as they relate to FinancialCrime Legal Orders AML andCTF.
* Effectiveknowledge and understanding of the banks UK overallstrategy
Desirableskills/PreferredQualifications
* Diplomalevel qualification or equivalent in FinancialCrime/AML
