Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic individual passionate about delivering a high quality nurse led service for our patient's needs within Dermatology. You will be expected to undertake the master's program including management modules along with Non-medical prescribing to enable them to develop nurse led clinics for follow-up patients. This will be a demanding role with the expectations that you will continue developing nurse led service within Dermatology at a national and international level. Although previous dermatology experience is desirable many of the role can be undertaken with knowledge of managing day to day running of a department and its members of staff. Knowledge of inflammatory skin conditions and skin minor surgery can be developed supported through in house competencies and MSc programme. Main duties of the job To be able to make clinical decisions for a defined patient group May be an independent prescriber or working towards or for a defined patient group or undertaking medicines management including use of patient group direction (PDGs) To be responsible, with the guidance of the senior nursing team for the provision of Dermatology and Plastic surgery nurse led services and support with provision of wider service delivery. Develop/Update patient information provision/clinical guidelines to maintain regular review and accuracy of content referring to National guidance as required.
