HSE Manager We are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client, a global leader in engineering technology, who is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee and ensure the continued success of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across their international operations. This critical role will drive safety standards, environmental sustainability, and a culture of compliance, playing a key role in the company’s ongoing commitment to providing safe and efficient solutions worldwide. Salary: Competitive Location: Camberley Position: Permanent Key Responsibilities: ISO and Certification Management: Maintain conformance to ISO 45001 certification across all global operations, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Oversee the ongoing management and improvement of the ISO 14068 carbon neutral certification, driving sustainable practices throughout the business. Carbon Footprint & Data Management: Lead the collection and analysis of energy data for the company’s annual carbon footprint assessment. Ensure the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Matrix is kept up to date and reviewed annually to monitor environmental impact. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Group QHSE team to ensure alignment of global HSE objectives. Provide hands-on support to leadership and staff to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Work closely with internal teams including HR, Facilities, and Purchasing on HSE-related activities to ensure full integration into operational processes. Risk Assessment & Safety Compliance: Conduct and review Risk Assessments across all operational sites, covering areas such as machinery safety, noise, CoSHH, and manual handling. Ensure all sites comply with Radiation Protection and Laser Safety regulations. HSE Communication & Initiatives: Develop and lead company-wide HSE communication initiatives to boost awareness and promote a safety-first culture. Establish and manage Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy Teams across all locations, fostering engagement and continuous improvement in HSE practices. Tracking, Reporting & Performance: Implement a tracking system for all HSE objectives, incident records, audits, and training matrices. Provide detailed and regular HSE performance reports to management, from operations to board level, ensuring transparency and accountability. Training & Development: Design and deliver HSE training programmes at all levels within the organisation, either directly or through external partners. Build and manage a network of external suppliers for specialist HSE training to address specific needs across different locations. Contract & Supplier Management: Provide expert HSE guidance for vendor questionnaires, RFPs, ITTs, and commercial contracts. Collaborate with engineers and managers to develop effective HSE plans for projects. Act as the key contact for client HSE representatives during audits and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance and fostering strong relationships. Legislative Compliance: Stay fully updated on evolving HSE legislation and ensure the business remains compliant with regulations across all operational locations. Implement process improvements as required to ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
