Flexi-Cover Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools
Protocol Education is working with schools throughout Croydon to appoint committed, flexible Teaching Assistants to become a vital part of our support team. This role will suit someone who is looking to gain experience within different education settings and with children of different ages on a schedule that fits around them. You will have your own online diary which you will update so that we can get you work on any days you want it.
The Role:
1. As a flexi-cover teaching assistant, you will work across schools and year groups as and when needed, covering/supporting due to staff absence or extra staff needed.
2. Support and manage the behaviour of pupils, ensuring a constructive and positive environment.
3. De-escalate situations within the classroom while adhering to safeguarding procedures.
4. Work 1:1 as in-class support and in small groups with SEND children for short periods.
5. Report any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
